The part where Kirk says, "Buckle up!", is most definantly at the end of the movie because he has his command tunic (yellowish-green) on rather than his black ensign's tunic. This is due probably to him getting command of the Enterprise, becoming the youngest to ever take the captain's chair, and the crew sets out on their official first 5-year mission.
