Ocri Talks Star Trek and Khan for Sequel

With Star Trek doing very well at the box office despite very heavy summer competition, now the conversation has switched into full sequel talk mode. The one name that comes up more then any is will Khan Noonien Singh be reprised in the new Star Trek 2.0 Universe. Short answer from Roberto Orci is they are definitly open to the idea but right now there isn't even a script so really all ideas are game.

  1. I don't think it would be wise to do Khan just yet. It would make the production team seem as though they are just remaking the original films. I think gleaning something from the original series that is a little more obscure would be more beneficial and allow the production team to have a little more creativity. Redoing Khan would be limiting even in the alternate universe.
