Netflix Gains International Streaming Rights to Star Trek

In a deal announced today, CBS and Netflix have signed a new agreement for Star Trek. The new Star Trek tv series debuting in January 2017 will debut on Netflix in other countries (other than Canada and the United States) around 24 hours after the episode airs on CBS All Access in the States each week.

In addition Netflix will have worldwide streaming rights to all 727 episodes of Star Trek from The Original Series to Enterprise by the end of the year. I think this means the shows will not be leaving Netflix in the US or other territories that already had access while new ones will gain access for the first time.
