Star Trek Composer Alexander Courage Dies

Alexander Courage passed away on May 15, 2008 in Pacific Palisades, CA. Mr. Courage is a long time composer for television and movies. He has worked on The Left Handed Gun, Superman IV, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Lost in Space and many others.

When he wasn't composing, he was the orchestrator for many leading composers including John Williams and Jerry Goldsmith. In that capacity, he performed for Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Legend, Rudy, LA Confidential, Air Force One, and others.

He is also one of the few that can claim to write a theme that is literally known the world over and transcends culture, language and politics. Even if people don't know his name, they know his work. Not too many people can make the same claim.

More details of his work can be found here.
