According to FirstShowing.net, Star Trek is coming to IMAX theaters the same time it premieres is standard theatres. The movie will be converted to 70mm for projection on IMAX screens.
The film will likely only have a short run of about 8 weeks as Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is expected to debut on IMAX starting June 26th and unlike Star Trek, it has scenes that were shot specifically for the IMAX using special cameras.
