Majel Barrett-Roddenberry Dead

Damn. A Star Trek legend has passed away. Majel Barrett-Roddenberry died of leukemia at her Bel Air home at the age of 76. She was the wife of Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry and survived by her son Eugene Roddenberry.

The actress is probably best known for her many roles in Star Trek from its very beginning right up to its reboot in the upcoming movie. In the original pilot episode she was "Number One", in the series that followed she was Nurse Chapel and in The Next Generation she was Lwazana Troy. Through the entire history of the series she also served as the "voice" of the Enterprise and will continue to do so in the upcoming movie, her last role. Picture below and more is at TrekMovie.com.
