It seems the recent DC's Legion of Superheroes and Star Trek: The Original Series comic book crossover was enough of a success that IDW is doing it again but with two different casts. Bleeding Cool reveals that this time the current cast of Doctor Who (with Amy & Rory) will be meeting the Star Trek: The Next Generation crew. It seems that while the TV sci-fi series have done crossovers before both on TV and in comics, this is the first time two major sci-fi franchises have done a crossover together. The first issue is expected to come in May but details on the story and number is issues remain unknown.
