Just a few quick notes on production start dates and end date for various Star Trek productions. Star Trek: Section 31 movie has a
start date of January 29, 2024 with shooting continuing to end of March. Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh will reprise her role of Emperor Philippa Georgiou as she works for the mysterious organization. Stramge New Worlds season 3 started filming this week with production expected to go until May 21, 2024. Considering the huge amount of visual effects the series needs, that indicates it likely will not hit streaming until late 2024 or early 2025.
Star Trek: Prodigy season 2 is now finished. Series creators Dan and Kevin Hageman
tweeted the news saying "Just mixed our final episode of #StarTrekProdigy S2. Five incredible years of our lives have gone into Prodigy, and we could not be more proud of the work from our amazing team. May this series inspire and welcome all into the Star Trek Universe. S1 on #Netflix this Christmas" As the tweet notes, the first season will stream on Netflix in a few short weeks while the second season is expected early next year.
