Star Trek's Herman Zimmerman to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award
Herman Zimmerman, long time Production Designer and Original Set Designer for Star Trek, will be given the Art Directors Guild's Lifetime Achievement Award at the 17th Annual Excellence in Production Design Awards on February 2, 2013. While Zimmerman has been part of the industry for more then 47 years, he is most known for Star Trek with his work on Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Enterprise, and Star Trek 5-10 movies. Basically when you visualize a design and aesthetic that makes you think "Star Trek", he was probably responsible for either creating the look or having input on it. Congratulations to Herman Zimmerman.
