Star Trek 3 Coming 2016

It looks like Paramount has finally confirmed what we all assumed - that Star Trek 3 would be coming in 2016. That year is more in important for a Star Trek release as it would mark the 50th Anniversary of the series. With a date, director (Roberto Orci) and writers (JD Payne and Patrick McKay), it looks like the major pieces are in place. The news was revealed by Paramount Pictures International SVP Edward Ryan at CineEurope convention announcing the overall plan of Paramount's releases from this summer to 2016. Other 2016 releases include Transformers 5, GI Joe 3, Beverly Hills Cop, and Hansel and Gretel 2.
