Three New Castmembers for Starfleet Academy

Paramount has announced three more cast members for Star Trek: Starfleet Academy that will star filming at end of the summer. Joining already announced Holly Hunter and Paul Giamatti will be Kerrice Brooks (The Prom), Bella Shepard (Wolf Pack), and George Hawkins (Tell Me Everything). No specifics on their characters beyond them being cadets. The series is considered a YA (young adult) series so while the actors are in their early 20s, that doesn't mean their characters will be. The series is set in the 32nd Century (the far future the last three seasons Discovery was set in) at the Academy that in Trek canon has always been located in San Francisco near Golden Gate Bridge.
