Star Trek at SDCC

IESB.net has confirmed that JJ Abrams’ Star Trek will be at the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con. This is despite Paramount's decision to mostly skip the convention, apparently deciding on a low cost presence with few expenses (such as flying in stars and their entourages). SDCC has become the stop for Hollywood as they use it to showcase the next year's worth of projects to fans that often help promote the movies for them. Paramount has informed the site that there will not be a Star Trek panel. As for what will be done to promote the movie, if anything, beyond posters and a booth is unknown. The convention is being held from July 23rd to July 27th.
