Star Trek: TNG Next Level Comparison Clip

On January 31st, Star Trek: The Next Generation - The Next Level Blu-ray is being released which will contain a sampler of three episodes that have been converted to hi-def using orginal film negatives recut together, 7.1 DTS surround sound, and recompositioned visual effects. The set is a way to show off what will ultimately be the hi-def release of the entire show which is expected to start late in the year as the conversion process is time consuming. As the clip below from the pilot episode shows, the result is pretty awesome with a lot of new details being show off. (via i09)
