First Contact Day Virtual Event Announced

Paramount+ has announced First Contact Day online event set for April 5. The date is chosen and named from Star Trek: First Contact. In the movie, April 5, 2063 is the day that Vulcan's made contact with humanity for the first time. It seems much like Star Wars has embraced May the Fifth (Force) as its day, this is Paramount's attempt to do the same for Star Trek. The day will include panels hosted by Wil Wheaton (TNG's Wesley) and Mica Burton (daughter of Levar Burton who played Georgi La Forge).

The panels will include a 25th Anniversary of First Contact, Woman of Star Trek, worlds of Star Trek, origin of Lower Decks via The Next Generation and Star Trek: Prodigy panel. There will also be a streaming marathon of the "Best of First Contacts" which is 10 episodes across all of Star Trek that ties into the franchise's core mission of seeking "out new life and new civilizations". Also during the day fans can get 20% off at Star Trek's Official Shop.

   Star Trek: Lower Decks: Season 1, Episode 1 – “Second Contact” 

   Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: Season 4, Episode 7 – “Little Green Men” 

   Star Trek: Short Treks: Season 2, Episode 6 –“Children of Mars” 

   Star Trek: Voyager: Season 4, Episode 1 – “Scorpion, Part 2” 

   Star Trek: Discovery: Season 2, Episode 2 – “New Eden” 

   Star Trek: The Animated Series: Season 1, Episode 7 – “The Infinite Vulcan” 

   Star Trek: Enterprise: Season 1, Episode 6 – “The Andorian Incident’ 

   Star Trek: The Next Generation: Season 4, Episode 15 – “First Contact” 

   Star Trek: Picard: Season 1, Episode 8 – “Broken Pieces”
