Fan-Made 8 Feet Lego Deep Space Nine

Even if not a fan of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, you can still appreciate this 8 feet diameter model of the iconic station. An astonishing 75,000 Lego pieces were used around a steel and aluminum framework with 50 feet of LEDs to light up all of it. It took its creator, Adrian Drake, two years to build. Star Trek: Renegades Trailer

Below is a pretty sweet looking trailer for Star Trek: Renegades. The movie doesn't have a release date nor is it an official Paramount/CBS Entertainment product but instead a fan made and funded creation that has the support of multiple Star Trek actors including Walter Koenig (Chekov), Tim Russ (Tuvok and also directs the film), Robert Picardo (Voyager's Doctor), and more. At least based on the trailer it seems they managed to squeeze every penny until it screamed to present something that might be good enough for theatrical release. Restore The Enterprise Bridge Kickstarter Nears End

The Kickstarter project to restore the Enterprise-D bridge from around the time of the Star Trek Experience in Las Vegas (so circa 2003) is nearing its final days. I already posted about the goal but what started as a kind of grass roots effort at Newstarship.com got a new life from Kickstarter. The project already achieved its $20,000 goal but in a new post project mastermind Huston Huddleston, he makes the case for reaching $40,000. The goal is to restore the trashed set as a traveling education set with real working LCARS monitors and other built in electronics to make it seem like a working bridge. Lego of Spock's Jellyfish Ship

It took long enough but finally some enterprising Lego masters decided to create a model of a Star Trek ship out of Legos. The object is the Jellyfish, the ship that Spock used in Star Trek comics to stop an out of control supernova that had already destroyed Romulus and was about to destroy the Federation. The use of the craft led to a rip in time that caused Nero and himself to go back in time and hop universes and led to the events depicted in the recent movie.
