The TV spots continue for Star Trek Into Darkness with four more for your viewing pleasure. In addition is a mini-featurette as JJ Abrams describes his vision and two new images from the movie have been released by Paramount. Three more videos for your enjoyment as the North America premiere of Star Trek Into Darkness is just days away from its European release. The first is the latest TV spot and the next two are B-roll footage as Abrams and the cast filmed certain parts of the movie. The B-roll is literally just a guy on set filming them at work.

New STID Clip, 3D Trailer, NA Release Moved A Day

Two more videos to promote the upcoming release of Star Trek Into Darkness. The movie has started to open in various parts of Europe with more this Friday while the North American release has been moved up a full day to May 16 with midnight screenings. The change is likely because the "fan" screenings for IMAX and 3D showings start May 15th around 8pm so theaters probably pushed to go ahead with midnight showings since have the staff on hand anyway for those early screenings. Any case below is a new clip between Kirk and Uhura in a turbolift. After that is the 3D version of the third trailer for the movie but it does required 3D glasses to enjoy it.

First Look at Star Trek 2.0 Klingons and Scotty Clip

Two more videos to promote the upcoming release of Star Trek Into Darkness. The first is a "Message From John Harrison" that focuses on Uhura. The video itself is notable because it finally provides a look at what the Star Trek 2.0 Klingon looks like without his mask. The result...reminds me of the Enemy Mine alien for some reason. The second video is a brief clip of Scotty and Kirk rushing to engineering as the Enterprise is literally falling apart while rotating in space.

4th Clip, 3 TV Spots, 2 Featurettes, and 1 Poster for Star Trek Into Darkness

Star Trek Into Darkness is just days away from its Europe premiere and 10 days from the North America premiere. That means lots of videos. The latest is a new clip that introduces Carol Marcus, three new TV spots with new scenes, features and a poster. The 1st feature is mostly a sales pitch from JJ Abrams while the other one focuses on Scotty with Simon Pegg talking about the character and the movie. Star Trek Into Darkness Clip #3

A new clip from Star Trek Into Darkness has been posted by Paramount. In the clip, Kirk yells at John Harrison who plays it cool while in the Enterprise brig. Not entirely sure what the last line about 72 reasons means. His operatives on the ship? Ship has a skeleton crew of 72 that is in danger? Below are two new videos for Star Trek Into Darkness. The first is a character profile on James T Kirk with prev comments from Chris Pine and JJ Abrams while the second video is a TV spot for the film from Latin America that includes new scenes. Message for Spock Video and More STID Posters

Joining the previous "Message from John Harrison" analyzing Kirk is a new one that focuses on Spock (below). In the video is a few new scenes from the movie including Spock having a not really very Vulcan reaction to something. In addition two new posters have been released for Chekov and Scotty. There are really two sets of character posters. The first is the colorful version (below) that is toned to each color and the other is a gold hued set.

Star Trek Into Darkness Japanese Trailer

TrekMovie.com has posted the Japanese trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness that is chock full of new scenes. Enough that they have created a shot-by-shot analysis that you can find here. Of note is what looks like a new warp effect for the Enterprise. A new CGI design for warp is a standard for the movies and TV shows as each one had a slightly different version then the one before with the distant star flash being the most known version. A video showing them all is also below.

Star Trek Into Darkness Clip #2 and New Posters

A new Star Trek Into Darkness clip has been released online. Like the previous one, this one expands on a segment from the trailers that show an Enterprise shuttle trying to escape an unknown enemy. In addition 7 new character posters have been released. Four are re-use of previous images while the other three feature Sulu, Chekov and Marcus characters. They can be found here.

Star Trek Into Darkness Volcano Clip

The first clip from Star Trek Into Darkness has premiered online. The scene is from the first 15 minute or so of the film when Spock is trying to save the local civilization from a volcano eruption while Kirk has to decide how the try to save Spock.

A few bits of promotional material has been released online for Star Trek Into Darkness. We have a new "Message from John Harrison" that really is the villain version of the Christopher Pike "Humility" speech that was part of the trailers, a new TV spot with a few new scenes, and a tour of the bridge of the Enterprise. The two videos are below and the hi-res images of the bridge are at i09.com. Last, tickets are now online for the May 17th North American release of the movie. Paramount has released the final theatrical trailer (below) for Star Trek Into Darkness as their marketing machine preps for the May 9th (Europe) and May 17th (North America) release of the movie. The trailer does have a decent amount of new scenes but a lot of it is from the previous trailers and TV spots. You can also find the trailer at Apple Trailers. Star Trek Into Darkness MTV Movie Awards Spot

Sunday the MTV Movie Awards aired to help promote this summer's slate of movies. On had to present something was Zachary Quinto, Chris Pine and Zoe Saldana. It also means a new TV spot with a few new scenes (Alice Eve speaks).

Star Trek Into Darkness UK TV Spot, Promotions

A new TV spot has aired in the United Kingdom to promote Star Trek Into Darkness that is just a touch under a month from being released there. I would estimate a good 50% seems to be new scenes so worth a look. On a related note, Best Buy is holding a contest for their Reward Zone members for chance to win different Trek stuff with the grand prize being a trip to the May 14th US premiere of the movie in Hollywood. Details for that are here. Also JJ Abrams is running his own "contest", in this case the winner being those who get their questions picked for the STID director to answer. The chance to submit questions ends on Monday April 15th for the interview that will be posted on April 30th. New Star Trek Into Darkness TV Spot

Below is a new TV spot that aired with the boring season finale of The Walking Dead (proof that budget does matter for visual story telling) and in the UK. There might be like a second of new scenes but its a combo of scenes from previous trailers for the movie.

Star Trek Into Darkness International Trailer #2 and New Poster

Paramount has officially released the second international trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness on Apple Trailers. This is not the US theatrical trailer that is now expected to debut sometime in April. The Trek trailer that will be attached to GI Joe: Retaliation in the US will be the 2nd teaser trailer released over a week ago. Technically there are six international trailers total released today, one each for United Kingdom, Australia, Mexico, Germany, Brazil, and Russia. There are subtle differences between each but they are so small it doesn't really matter. In addition, TrekMovie discovered a hidden URL that points to a new poster (below). It was found in the brief shot that showed the lovely Alice Eve in her underwear. The URL was located over her shoulder in the middle of the panel between the two wall lights.
